Quilt Boy - I Am Somebody 7" EP (Sophomore Lounge, 2016)

"Creeps like Jad Fair; hold Zombies, extra Mora-Tau. Witchy." - Tom Lax (Siltbreeze)

Fucked up, vaped-out, borderline demonic cassette confessionals arranged and performed by head All Gone-er Chris Durham (Roachclip, The Bibs). Another clue of recorded output from Detroit's greatest oddball, basement-dwelling, idiot-prog outfit QUILT BOY -- a one-man band coming off like Robert Wyatt's Matching Mole, "Man Who Sold The World"-era Bowie bent by early Trux slop and slackerisms.

After a string of self-releases (one of which was fittingly described by Volcanic Tongue as "lonely power tape crying of a Sentridoh crossed with what could almost have been a demo tape that fell into a vat of oil outback of the Takoma HQ circa 1968"), this killer five-song EP "I Am Somebody" -- QB's first for Sophomore Lounge -- is also his long-awaited vinyl debut.

All instrumentation by Quilt Boy. Recorded in southwest Detroit on a 4-track Tascam. Mastered from tape by Carl Saff.

Limited-edition 7" (250 copies on black with spray-glued jackets).
