John The Band - John The Band LP (self-released, 2019)
Self-released full length from seemingly un-esteemed Louisville trio “John the Band.” I picked this upon its release on the strength of their performance at Winger Fest in 2018. It’s really good. Timelessly slouched and melancholic midwestern/genre-oblivious rock music that’s just barely artful enough to resonate, yet it does and I mean all of that as a compliment. Recommended for fans of Mike Rep / Ron House / C'bus type stuff, My Dad Is Dead, Strapping Fieldhands, et al.
Edition of 100.
